JAPADOG the very popular Japanese hotdogs arrives in the Brentwood neighborhood! Conveniently located inside the newly renovated Amazing Brentwood mall, we no longer need to line up outside on the streets for some delish Japanese fusion hot dogs!

The menu they offer is quite large, which does not only limit to hot dogs. You can also get poutine, shake fries, takoyaki, fried chicken, even desserts such as milkshakes, ice cream, Japanese traditional sweets! Can we say street food heaven?

WHAT I ATE

Wagyu Terimayo $11.19

This is similar to JAPADOG’s signature hot dog (Kurobuta Terimayo), the toppings that come with are teriyaki sauce, Japanese mayo and seaweed but instead of kurobuta pork sausage they use wagyu beef sausage. The bun was toasted on the outside and the inside stays soft, you are able to give it a squish to easily take a large bite in your mouth. The sausage bursting with juice as you bite into it, the kewpie mayo just adds another taste dimension to it, to top it off the seaweed gives it a smoky flavour.

Love Meat $7.29

This is one my favorites on the menu, for the meat lovers out there this hotdog is so delicious. The toppings on the hotdog are Arabiki pork (a smoked Japanese coarsely ground pork sausage) succulent with slightly sweet and mild smoky flavor, home made meat sauce fused together with melted cheese on top.

Final Thoughts

There are reasons why this hotdog chain is so popular here, it’s been around since 2005. Now they have come a long way to success their food is great, options are plenty, you will not be disappointed with your visit here. I will be going back again!
